Rooftop Comedy intends to become the one-stop place for comedy clips of stand-up comedians you know, and others that are promising. Although it provides the same features as YouTube and entices people to send in their videos, Rooftop is for comedians. Members need to have their own website and videos could be cut if too long.

Clips are categorized into channels and members can rate clips and add comedians to their friends' list, turning the site into a social place to comedians to meet their fans. Rooftop Comedy has been founded by a comedian and former broadcasters.
